4. Purpose, scope and legal basis of the data processing
In principle, the processing of personal data of the users of this website only takes place insofar as it is necessary for the provision of a functional website as well as for the use of the contents of the website and the services offered in this context. A distinction must be made as follows in terms of purpose, scope and legal basis of data processing: a) Visit to the website What data is being processed? Every time you visit the website and access the contents of the website, information is automatically sent to the server of the website by the browser used on your device. This data is temporarily stored in so-called log or log files, which may allow identification. The transmission of the contents of the contact form is encrypted. However, it is not end-to-end encryption, which you should consider in terms of the content of the communication. What data is being processed? If you contact us via an online form, the data entered in the input mask will be transmitted. All information is mandatory (name, e-mail address, and organisation) so that we can process your request for a demo version. What are the purposes of processing? The processing of the data is carried out in order to be able to receive the request for a demo version and to process it appropriately. For this purpose, the mandatory information (name, e-mail address, and organization) are required. How long will the data be stored? The data will be deleted as soon as the processing of the request has been completed. On what legal basis are the data processed? The legal basis for the processing of the data when using the contact form for the request of a demo version is Article 6 (1) lit. b of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As for the entire website, an IT service company (Amazon Web Services Amazon EMEA SARL, Luxembourg) is entrusted with the provision including hosting, technical implementation and support for the contact form, which receives the above-mentioned data for this purpose and processes it in Germany. Recipients of the data may also be public authorities on request, provided that the legal requirements for disclosure are met.
In order to provide the website and to ensure its operation website we use functional cookies. Cookies are files that the browser you use stores on your device when you visit the website. We only use session cookies or temporary cookies. Session cookies only temporarily store the call to the website and are deleted when the browser is closed. This type of cookie does not store any personal information about the user and no combination with the user's personal data. Nevertheless, you can configure the browser you use so that no session cookies or temporary cookies are stored on your device. However, this configuration may result in not all functions of the website being fully available.
